Jackson Porter, born Dec. 17, 1854, died Jan.
29, 1905 grave stone at a private owned Cemetery named
"Preachers's Cemetery" after the family named
Preacher, that owns the property close to Hico, Texas. He
died at Fairy, Tx. South of Hico. He was run over by a
mule drawn wagon. Andrew Jackson Porter's wife-Mary Alice Muse . Father Andrew Jackson Porter History says he drown in the Guadalope River in Texas about 1859/1860. Mother -Polly Renee (Rena) Cowan. Polly's second husband was McKenzie. Polly Renee was buried on the Brazos and when Lake Whitney was built the grave was moved to a Cementry at Hillsburogh, Texas. The stone marker just has McKenzie on it. |

condition and was found along with Minerva (Jones) Muse's
photo who was the Grandmother of Willie Ann (Porter)
